Sludge
I found myself in another situation where I was waiting for a client again the other day. Unfortunately it was almost dark this time. I still went for a little walk to see if I could find anything interesting. When I went to cross the street I ran into this little beauty. I thought it might be worth an attempt. There really wasn’t much light, and I still haven’t put a tripod in the car, so I had to hand hold.
After looking at them on the computer I’m afraid they are all too dark. I took a quick stab at editing them, but in the end I felt like the straight out of camera was as good as the edited versions. Here are the untouched versions, dark and all. One day I’ll learn something (I hope anyway), for now I’ll just take dark images. In my defense I thought the dirty, oily water merited a slightly darker image, but there must be a better way to accomplish that.
