Tipi
After dropping the kids off at school awhile back we saw this Tipi set up at the back of the school playground. I’ve been pleased with the way our community puts things like this together. I took these shots in a hurry. Maybe these images would have been better if I had gotten a little lower to shoot them. I’m not sure who set this up, or what it was for. My kids didn’t get a chance to learn about the Tipi. When something like this is setup at the school they should do the best they can to let the kids at least get a quick look. It would be difficult to allow them all through it, but why not tell them something. Even if they just told them you’ll all get a chance when your in the 4th grade. Hopefully the kids will all get a turn to learn about the Native American culture at some point. This is probably something we should be doing as a family, and not relying on the school.
