Balancing on the Track

First let me say that this is a section of railroad track no longer in use. I think there is a thing about taking pictures on railroad tracks, because people get hit by trains every year. I did not get hit by a train when having this picture taken, and I was in no danger of that happening as I’ve already mentioned, this section of the track is no longer in use. 

I was surprised that it is a harder to keep your balance on the the track than I expected it would be. Part of the problem was that I was trying to go very slow. For me it is a little easier to keep my balance if I’m moving at an even pace. The leading lines are so easy when photographing tracks. Unfortunately not much is happening with the sky in the background here. I do like the yellow grass on either side of the tracks, it feels like a nice contrast to me.
