We planted this bamboo several years ago, and it hasn’t changed much. Maybe it was only a couple feet tall when we bought it. Now it’s probably 5 or 6 feet tall. I figured that it would survive, but never did all that well. On Monday I had to jump the fence to help the neighbor move. I noticed a few new shoots coming up in the grass. There were 4 that I noticed, and the tallest one was about 2 feet tall. By Friday night that same one was as tall as the fence. I had heard that bamboo can grow fast, but I didn’t think ours would grow so well. It’ll be interesting to see where it goes from here.
