Focus Point

Focus Point

Focus

While I was out taking pictures of this barn I decided to play around with focus points for a minute. I got these 2 shots one right after the other. On the first one I made sure to grab the focus on the barn itself. Next I tried to get the camera to focus on one of the plants that was much closer to me. The differences between the two shots are pretty subtle, but it does make a difference. Usually I could show this example on accident because I have the wall 40 feet behind my actual subject in perfect focus. Of course that means the person I’m trying to take a picture of is not in focus. I have more examples of this than I care to admit. It’s much more fun when you get the different focus on purpose.
