Gnarly Tree

This tree looks like it has worked pretty hard to get to where it is now. I think life can be like that for all of us. Often times we look at other people and think they look like the perfect Christmas tree, and we feel like this crazy gnarly tree. We tend to jump to the false conclusion that they haven’t experienced the difficulties and challenges we have. I imagine that many of the people we are judging in this way may see things the exact opposite, and feel like we look like we have it all together, and that they are the ones struggling. For me it is a lesson to remember that I need to be a little quicker to extend assistance, and not judgement. I need to be more confident, and less concerned about how I think I look to others. I hope more people can recognize that we all have our struggles, and that those challenges can be easier to bear if we learn to work together and help each other.
