I used to think using a2 person saw looked like a fast fun way to cut trees. It may be that we never figured out the right technique, or possibly the saw was very dull. Perhaps the wood was frozen, or the stand was too wobbly, maybe all of these things stacked up. Any way you look at it, I think I’m probably more of a chainsaw guy after this experience. I’m not afraid of a bow saw either, although I penalty should be. Over the summer when I was cutting firewood with a bow saw, I’m pretty sure I broke a bone in my middle finger.
Hopefully I’ll get another chance under different circumstances to use one of these saws. The has to be potential for a better outcome.
In case your wondering, we finished both cuts we started. They just took much longer than they should have.
