Pelican in flight. I may have been too loud and aggressive at trying to get into place for this shot, and so it decided not to stick around any longer. I didn't do a great job photographing this beautiful bird. In the future I need to do a better job of setting up my tools to get me the best possible results.
Kings peak shots that we got a few years ago hiking with the boys. We live in an amazing location and it is so great to be able to explore places like this.
These were a few shots I was able to grab while I was on the way up to girls camp. I thought the sunset was amazing, and the pond, trees and sky worked together to make a beautiful shot.
Just a quick post about spending time with the family getting out to see things. We are blessed to have so much to see so close. We need to keep taking advantage of getting out into nature, and trying to find new things to see.
I tried to capture the stars while out on my most recent camping trip to the mountains. I'l have to keep practicing, this was definitely showing some improvements from my past attempts. I hope I got a few more decent shots, but I haven't looked through them all yet.
Lissa took the kids on another hike, and found a creepy crawly little friend. Evidently there were quite a few of these guys around the hot pots.
This is a shot we got from our first trip out on the lake this year. We had a pretty good time even though it was cool and windy. The boat performed pretty well, so I'm hopeful it will do alright for this whole summer.
Lissa and I went out for another photo walk. I started out a little frustrated this time, but we go things figured out, and had a good time. I am excited for our next opportunity. I need to start posting some of these to instagram and facebook I guess in order to get any traction around things.
Family hike to lost creek. The kids all did great, and it was a decent hike for the little ones.
