Looking down the road

Looking down the road

Lissa and I were driving out in the country last fall on a beautiful rainy day. We were lucky enough to not have to race home for anything, so we stopped several times along the way. I love these images looking down the road into the fog.

I’m a little hesitant to post these shots, because it’s probably not a best practice to stand in the middle of the road and take pictures. We did have a lookout to make sure there were no cars coming. Being up in the mountains it’s very quiet and we could hear cars as they approached from a pretty long distance away. The trees and fog made the drive so enjoyable. It’s amazing how beautiful this place is.

I have been trying to spend more time lately looking down the road. I’ve gotten to a point in life where I have a minute every now and then to think about things. I’m also starting to recognize that I don’t get to be here forever. With that I’m trying to really put some thought into where I want to be in 5 years, or 10 years. I’ll need to spend more time considering things, and then get out there and work until I’m on the right road.

I’m probably a little late getting to this point, but better late than never right? We’ll see if I’m successful at figuring anything out. I just need to be patient, this is going to be a slow process. It’ll be worth it though.
